The work on Oasis continues at a great pace, and with our July opening rapidly approaching, we are delighted with the way Bunaken Oasis is coming together.
We were privileged to be in Bunaken Village when Bilbo was launched.
We’ve set the date!
We are on schedule for our July opening, with the main construction and infrastructure set for completion by the end of April. The
cottages are looking fabulous, the freeform infinity pool is almost tiled, and the view from the panoramic restaurant is breathtaking.
Our jetty across the sea grass to the edge of the lagoon has been started, and is scheduled to take until June. It is being built avoiding any damage to the reef, and will ensure a dry landing for both guests’ arrivals and departures, and divers, and will also enable jetty access for snorkellers and divers to the house reef, mandarin evening dives and local night dives.
The dive centre is currently being roofed. It is really spacious, with a huge custom-designed camera room, and plenty of storage for our guests’ equipment. We have a separate classroom that will be equipped with a large 4K/UHD television, suitable for photographic groups, to use as well as diving students.

Thank you to everyone who is showing an interest in our new resort. We are delighted with the progress, and hope that you will enjoy receiving these updates as we approach our opening this summer.
We’re taking shape.
The construction work is over 70% complete and we are on schedule for our July opening. Every building is now well on the way, with our panoramic restaurant commanding an incredible position. The cottages are beautiful, with every balcony giving our guests a sea view, and, being south west facing, the sunsets are breathtaking.
Thank you to all of our visitors to our stand at DIVE 2015. We had a very busy stand and over 250 entries into our prize draw. As requested, we will keep all of our visitors up to date on the progress of the development of Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort and hope to see many of you there in the future.
Congratulations to Peter Etherington who won our prize draw for a free week including diving at Bunaken Oasis. We look forward to welcoming him and his partner Paula to Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort later in 2016.
